Our Mission

Learn how we are turning donations into life-saving water sources in Zambia.

The Water Crisis in Zambia

In Zambia, nearly half the population lacks access to clean, safe drinking water. This reality forces millions, primarily women and children, to walk for miles every day to collect water that is often contaminated with life-threatening pathogens.

The consequences are devastating: rampant waterborne diseases, children missing school, and families trapped in a cycle of poverty. We believe that access to clean water is a fundamental human right and the first step to a brighter future.

From Dust to Water

Our well-building process is a community-driven, sustainable model that ensures long-term success.

1

Community Partnership

We begin by partnering with village leaders to identify needs and secure community buy-in, which is vital for the project's longevity.

2

Survey & Site Selection

Our hydrogeologists conduct surveys to pinpoint the optimal drilling location for a reliable, year-round water source.

3

Drilling & Installation

Using modern equipment, our team drills the borehole and installs a durable, easy-to-maintain hand pump.

4

Water Quality Testing

Before the well is opened, we rigorously test the water to ensure it meets World Health Organization safety standards.

5

Hygiene Education

We establish a local water committee and provide training on hygiene, sanitation, and pump maintenance.

6

Long-Term Monitoring

Our commitment doesn't end with installation. We conduct follow-up visits to ensure each well continues to function for years to come.

How Your Donation is Used

Transparency is a core value. A typical well costs around $10,000. Here's a general breakdown of where your contribution goes.

  • Geological Survey

To find the best well location.

  • Well Drilling & Casing

    Reaching depths of 40-80 meters.

  • Hand Pump Installation

Durable, easy-to-maintain India Mark II pump.

  • Concrete Apron & Drainage
